A policy or set of principles concerning social issues.

Description

Social policy is the general course of action taken to change, maintain or create living conditions that ensure human welfare. Both public (governments) and private sectors (businesses) may implement social policies.

Health care, education, housing, social care, income maintenance in times of need, pensions, and the maintenance of law and order are all examples of social policies.
